The Tonle Sap Lake region is such a humbling experience. The floating village of Kompong Phluk will make anyone appreciate what they have. It was so eye-opening to see how people with very little make it and survive with what the lake gives them.
Because you're in a boat for the majority of the trip, you don't get much opportunity to engage with locals; however, we didn't pass a single child who didn't burst into a smile and wave at us, yelling "hello." Such a great time.
My guide was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to point out quite a few things about the villages and the lake that I was unaware of.
Thanks for a great time!

We particularly appreciated the guide's knowledge and willingness to act as a cultural interpreter and allow us to appreciate what life in Cambodia is like.

Voueon was a great guide. he was very informative and interested in telling me about his Country. Tonle Sap was a little confronting but a great insight into the lives of the people who call the lake their home.

The trip was enjoyable and had a good variety of activities included. I marked down Responsible Travel as we visited a crocodile farm and I was very impressed with the conditions that the crocodiles were living in. Our guide was enthusiastic, very friendly and chatty and made an effort to share good info about Cambodian culture and the sights. Only slightly disappointing part was monastary visit - I thought we might have gone inside the monstary or potentially been able to have some interaction with some of the monks but it ended up just being a walk around the monastary grounds.
